![]() ![]() ![]() They are friendly, always smiling, and down-to-earth people who genuinely want to help and make your stay wonderful. Moreover, Kob and Pun are wonderful hosts. They are also fabulous each one has its own very distinct character, and those amazing bathrooms! I highly recommend all of the accommodation. The amount of love and care that Kob and her partner Pun put into the homes is astounding, and will leave you feeling so well-cared for you’ll never want to leave! In fact, my partner and I commented how it was probably the most beautiful home we had ever lived in! Every week they not only cleaned the house thoroughly, but made us find freshly cut flowers in so many corners of the house that we could’ve started having difficulty differentiating between the beautiful surroundings and our home! We had friends staying in two of the bungalows, and so had a very good look at them too. Kaao Barley is spectacular, and has an incredible view over the entire valley, as well as a sala (an outside living area) that makes the house worthwhile all on its own! Plus the fact that the house is beautifully decorated and very private made us feel at home immediately. We decided to treat ourselves and rented Kaao Barley, the large home, and were very glad we did. When my partner and I arrived, we were even more impressed by the reality of the place! The photos can’t do justice to how beautiful Paina Paita actually is. ![]() ![]() I contacted Kob and developed a good feeling with her from the onset. I found Paina Paita by chance on a Thai language website when searching for natural accommodation in Pai, and was immediately impressed by the images. I spent one month at Paina Paita in May/June 2012 with my partner. Again, the lady was nice, the breakfast was great but over all price and accommodation, was a disappointment.… we had to hose the toilet down every time we needed to use it, we both got multiple spider bites, woke up to bugs in our bed, invading our backpacks ect. Needless to say we don't throw money away, so we stayed. when we asked to check out after the first sleepless, bug filled night (even with 24 hours notice) the answer was no, we would have to pay for our whole stay or brave the ants for two more nights. If we would have been paying a cheap price, we would have understood, but there were HOTEL rooms in town, including breakfast for 700 baht, and we were being charged 1200. the property cats would also come in and out of our bungalows, we even came in one day to one sleeping on our bed. There were also spiders the size of small birds, slugs and of course mosquitoes. I got up in the middle of the night to use the washroom and I think I may have nightmares about the ants crawling on me, for years. We are used to "roughing it" and can be very tolerant of bugs and spiders, but this was a whole different ball game. The main problem with our stay was the bugs. Didn't make for the three nights of tranquility we thought we were in for. There was also a couple dogs on the property that barked around 6 am every morning as well as a lawn mower (?) that was being used by the property over at 7am. We were on the main rod into Pai, so we heard motorbikes all through the night. we were drawn to this place because it seemed very peaceful, off the beaten track and very serene from the photos and description online. My husband and i checked into this hotel for three nights. I really struggled with what to say with this review as the lady who runs these bungalows seems very nice, however this site is about overall accommodation experience, so here it goes. They tend to try to cram large suitcases in the overhead bin, and they prattle on about celebrities they know while you are trying to watch the movie. For example, we don't want bots running about trying to book airline tickets. Bots are generally a good thing, but some web pages are for humans only. KAYAK uses bots to search for travel deals. Search engines like Google use robots to build up search results. What is a bot?Ī bot, or robot, or crawler is software that visits web sites and collects data from them without a human present.
